Lessons have started but for the moment we are only able to do 1/2 hour lead-line lessons for small children and lessons on your own horses 

3/4 hour own horse $25

3/4 hour our horse $30

1/2 hour lesson/lead line $20

At Living Sky Stables we teach all aspects of horsemanship in a safe but fun way.  While most lessons will be private, we can sometimes do a group lesson if friends/family would like to ride together.

All lessons are English ridden and riders must wear an approved riding helmet and sensible footwear, we have helmets you can borrow but recommend you buy your own if you plan on regular lessons. Gloves are also a good idea as they prevent sore hands.

Beginner riders are started on the lunge line, where they first master a balanced riding seat and gain confidence. Some riders progress faster than others but we never push our riders so they stop enjoying or loose their confidence.

Children can have a half hour lead line lesson, this is perfect for them as their attention span is shorter. They gain their confidence and learn to have fun, when they are older and stronger they will be ready for the regular lessons.

Sometimes it may be necessary to go back into the riders  'comfort zone' and reaffirm a good foundation again. Riding should be a fun pastime not a worrying one.

Once our riders have the solid basics we progress and have fun with some dressage and jumping. If the student is thinking of purchasing a horse in the future then we can assess the type of horse they will require and evaluate the running costs.

Spectators are welcome but must be aware of the rules. Children must be with an adult at all times. All lessons need to be prepaid or paid at time of lesson.
